How to Keep Disney Headbands from Slipping: Easy Hacks for Kids!

A comparison image showing the Anna Coronation headband from Tokyo DisneySea and a model wearing it with an inspired braided bun hairstyle.

Disney offers so many adorable headbands, doesn't it? I own quite a few myself! Since children love wearing them just as much as adults do, I often buy them for my kids. However, because these headbands are "one-size-fits-all," they don't quite fit a child's smaller head. They tend to wobble or slip off easily, which can be a real distraction and prevent children from fully immersing themselves in the magic of Disney.

In this article, you will discover easy ways to securely fasten a headband to your child's head. Additionally, at the end of the post, I will introduce specific hairstyles designed to keep them from budging.

The Magic of Modification

Take a look at this video. On the left is the headband exactly as it was bought, and on the right is the one I’ve modified to stay in place. As you can see, the modified one doesn’t budge at all—it’s amazing how it stays put even when shaking your head vigorously!

What’s great is that you can do this easily without damaging the headband. Since there’s no sewing or needles involved, it’s a total lifesaver even if you’re not the "crafty" type!

Elevate Your Look with a Kawaii Hairstyle

Adults don't usually have to worry about their headbands slipping off like kids do. However, instead of just putting one on, why not elevate your look with a kawaii hairstyle? It’ll definitely boost your mood and make you want to share your photos all over social media!

In this video, I’m using the Anna Coronation headband from Tokyo DisneySea to show you how to create a bun inspired by her iconic look. I’ve added a little trick to this hairstyle to make sure the headband stays perfectly in place. You should definitely give it a try!

If you ever visit Tokyo DisneySea, I highly recommend picking up this Anna Coronation headband. With its rich velvet material and high-quality feel, it truly makes you feel like you’re wearing the actual dress from the movie.
